By which I of course mean the endless cycle of Mario Kart.  Not endless in that it has no end at all, I’m sure after the eventual heat death of the universe, Nintendo will stop putting out Mario Kart games.  And by “sure” I of course mean “not sure at all”. I don’t really think it’s fair releasing SSBB and MKWii so close together.  I just unlocked all characters and was starting to figure out my favourite fighters, and now I have to unlock karts and racers. (Note: almost all done)

Took me one day to unlock all tracks, and get a fancy picture of my Mii with Mario and Peach.  I checked after the day was done, and MK was played for 9:09.  I don’t care how you slice it, that’s alot.  Admittedly I played with my Mother (who picked it up with the Wii Wheel right away and got 2nd on a 100cc track on her last attempt) and some friends.  Honestly, the game is great.  It feels like a nice update to the franchise, and they’ve included enough control schemes for anyone.  The camps seem to be split between nunchuk and Wii Wheel, and I can see why.  If you’re looking for time trials and such, stick with the nunchuk and analog stick.  If you’re just relaxing and having fun, playing with some people who aren’t hardcore? Stick with the wheel.  If my mom can pick it up and enjoy herself, the control scheme works.
