The Great Point Trip : Part 2

May 31st, 2008

Hey, I noticed that all the traffic was showing up on Saturdays so I decided to post on a Saturday.  Then I got a traffic spike Friday…. So I’ll keep them on Fridays from now on!

This is, of course, the continuing continuity. I like that, if I could patent it I would.  Either way, hopefully our intrepid explorers will return safely with only mild electrical burns.  Watch out for the thrilling conclusion next week!

I have found another game that would be a good one to introduce to non-gamers that I didn’t think of but which is incredibly obvious: Katamari.  I picked up the Xbox version for the incredibly high price of $7.50, another Blockbuster bargain! The multiplayer is pretty gimped, but the single-player is still fun with other people.  It’s one of those games you can actually play with someone, without having a controller in your hand.  A surprisingly large number of people have not played this game in any of it’s incarnations, and that is nearly a travesty.  It is one of those gaming experiences that should not be missed, like Portal or Yar’s Revenge.  Man that game was weird. I wonder where my Atari 2600 is…

And if you haven’t yet seen THIS yet, you probably should.  Just to warn you though, that link leads to perhaps the worst comic I have ever seen.  It is a Doom comic from 1996. There is a lot of gratuitous violence in ridiculous ways, the marine becomes an environmentalist for a single panel, and there are enough quotable lines to make it a meme itself.  Enjoy!

I *heart* Katamari and I completely blame you! But alas I cannot speak ill of such a great game, with it’s superb inovation.

Though I still blame you for introducing the game to me.
//I got the PSP version by the way, it’s really cool.

GO LITTLE SQUIRT!!! You call that big?!? It’s punny, rainbow power it up, and try harder next time. :-)
